Awning: The New Project from Fatty Acid (they did our theme music)

I usually don’t do album reviews on the blog, BUT I gotta show some love for my man Fatty Acid, who shall, hence forward be known as AWNING!  Check it out below.  It’s an amazing sound-defining EP of diverse electronic music.

1. New York Smile is heavy on the bass (and rightly so) and very reminiscent of Baths.

2. It’s All Around (my favorite track on the album) is a funky electro track that lands somewhere between Chromeo and Pretty Lights.

3.  Time Keeps is quite possibly the most mellow drum and bass song I’ve ever heard, sounds like James Blake remixed by Andy C.

4.  And the EP ends with Home, which sounds like a B-side to BT’s These Hopeful Machines…it’s destined to be played at Ibiza this summer.

Hope you all enjoy it!
